AIA GROUP HOSPITAL, OUTPATIENT, DENTAL, TERM LIFE and PERSONAL ACCIDENT

Group Hospitalisation & Surgical (GHS)

Covers inpatient medical expenses when you're admitted to a hospital. This includes room & board, surgery, specialist fees, and diagnostic tests. Includes cashless admission at panel hospitals.


Outpatient (General Practitioner & Specialist)

Covers visits to general practitioners (GP) or panel clinics for common illnesses like flu, fever, or minor injuries. Also include access to specialists with GP referral . Routine Medical checkup and blood test is not covered


Dental Care
Provides reimbursement or coverage for routine dental treatments such as scaling, polishing, fillings, extractions, and consultation. Cosmetic procedures are not included.


Group Term Life (GTL)
Pays a lump sum to your nominated beneficiary in the event of death from any cause during your employment. This helps protect your loved ones financially if something unexpected happens.


Group Personal Accident (GPA)
Provides financial compensation in the event of accidental injury, disability, or death. Whether on or off work.

Q1. How to register for AIA+ App ?

Q2. How to view my benefit entitlement, submit claim and check claim status?

After you have successfully register and login to AIA+ App, you are able to check your benefit entitlement, submit claims via the App and check claim status. You need to submit original bill and receipt. The processing takes around 5 to 7 workings days to approve the claims and credit into your bank account. For more details, please refer to link below

Q2. How to view my benefit entitlement, submit claim and check claim status?

Check that you have submitted the GP Referral letter. The bill needs to be itemised. Both the bill and receipt needs to be original and not photocopy.

Q4. Is medical checkup and blood test covered by my insurance ?

No, routine medical checkup and blood test is NOT covered unless the test done is related to the diagnosis and treatment of a medical condition

Q5. Is MRI, CT SCAN and physiotherapy covered ?

No, MRI, CT Scan and Physiotherapy is not covered unless admission is required for inpatient treatment.

You are required to pay for MRI and CT Scan out of pocket.There is no cashless facility for MRI or CT Scan.
Upon admission for inpatient treatment, the cost of MRI and/or CT Scan can be reimburse back later.

If there is no admission required, the cost incurred for MRI/CT Scan will not be covered by insurance.

Physiotherapy is only covered under followup treatment after discharged from inpatient treatment.

If there is no admission for treatment, physiotherapy is not covered

You can show your AIA Medical E-Card from AIA+ App.

Alternatively you can present your IC (Passport for Non-Malaysians) to the hospital during admission so the hospital admission centre can verify the records.

Q8. Is there any offer/promotion to upgrade my personal insurance

As AIA Corporate member, you are entitled to 1 month cashback when you upgrade your personal insurance for yourself or dependents. And you can increase your medical insurance annual limit up to RM 18 Million a year with affordable premiums

Q9. Is there waiting period before my coverage commence ?

There is no waiting period, and pre-existing conditions are covered under this plan.

Your coverage commences immediately once HR has successfully enrolled you into the AIA Group Insurance Policy.

Q11. Is Specialist Outpatient cashless ?

No, you need to pay first and reimburse back later using MyAIA+ App with itemised bill. Also GP Referral letter is required.
Common reasons why Specialist claim is declined is

i. No GP Referral letter attached (Or referral letter not from a Registered Clinic)


ii. Bill submitted is not itemised (Only lump sum provided)

iii. Original Receipt and Bill is required (Photocopy is not acceptable)
